Miskatonic

Miskatonic is a top-down strategy game where the player plays as a Lovecraftian monster aiming to mentally break the four humans trapped in its labyrinth. Miskatonic was developed over two semesters, consisting of a pre-production and a production phase, the latter of which I joined as Lead Designer.

Responsibilities:

  • Identified shortcomings of the original design, and made necessary improvements
  • Built/Prototyped new features as required (Card/Skill Systems)
  • Ran balancing efforts sourced from diagnostic data as well as playtest feedback
  • Built other core features such as the save system and tutorial
